SAGRADA FAMILIA:

The Sagrada Familia is an exceptional temple, fruit of the work of the great architect Antoni Gaudí. Currently, with more than 135 year since  the laying of the first stone, the Basilica is still under construction and its completion is expected for the year 2026.

The origins of the Expiatory Temple of the Sagrada Familia date back to 1866, the year in wich Josep Maria Bocabella i Verdaguer founded the Spiritual Association of Devotees of San José, which since 1874 prometes the construction of an expiatory temple dedicated to the Sagrada Familia.

TORRES I BAGES:

Josep Torras i Bages was an ecclesiastic and Catalan bishop, the highest representantive of Catalan conservative and Catholic period.

He was born on September 12, 1846 in Les Cabanyes, Alt Penedès and died on February 7, 1916 ( at age 69 ) in Vic, Osona.

ARC DE TRIOMF:

The Arc de Triomf is a one monument of Barcelona that is at the confluence between Passeig de Luís Companys, the Passeig de Sant Joan and the Sant Pere roundabput. It was buit as a result of the Universal Exhibition of 1888 and was the gateway to the exhibition center.

It is the work of the architect Josep Vilaseca i Casanovas. The sculptural decoration was given by Josep Reynés, Josep Llimona, Antoni Vilanova, Torquat Tasso, Manuel Fuxà and Pere Carbonell. 

MARAGALL:

Joan Maragall Gorina was the youngest son - he has three sisters of the couple formed by Josep Maragall Vilarosal and Rosa Gorina folchi. He was born in Barcelona an October 10, 1860 on Jaume Giralt street no 4 tram the Santa Caterina neighnorhood ( ciudad vieja ).

His father was a textile manufacturer, in 1875 Joan Maragall, after a few years he is studing, he started working as an apprentice in the family industry.

This was a period he himself definid as '' of on happines'' sine he was ripped from the books just after finishing high school to go to work in the industry. It was a very strong blow for the young Juan who, furtively, began to write poetry in his spare time.

In 1877 he traveleo together with the whole family, first through Spain, and then to Marseille and Paris.  

Palau Reial:

The Royal Palace of Pedralbes is a buieding located in the middle of large area of gardens, in the District of Les Corts, in Barcelona and now head quarters of the union for the Mediterranean. 

Maria Cristina:

Maria Cristina de Borbon - Dos Sicilias was queen consorte of Spain for her marriage to king Ferdinand Vll in 1829 and regent of the kingdom between 1833 and 1840, during part of the minority of her dughter Isabel ll.

Eulalia de Barcelona:

Saint Eulalia, copatron Saint of Barcelona, was a 13 years old Roman Christian virgin who suffered martyrdon in Barcelona during the persecution of Christians in the reign of emperor Diocletian. There is some person as Saint Eulalia of Merida, whose story is similar. 

Jacinto Verdaguer:

Jacinto Verdaguer and Santalo was a Spanish priest and poet who wrote his work in Catalan language in whose literature he especiallybinfluenced Bishop Torras i Bages who was taken by the boy of  the <<Prince of the Catalan poets>>

Andrew the Apostle: 

Andrew the Apostle, also know as Saint Andrew and reffered to in the Orthodox traditi as the First Called.
